And when I say “the last 5 manicures of 2017” it actually means my manicures in the past 5-6 months. I know, my nails and my blog haven’t been my top priorities in the last half of 2017, but for good reason. August was full-on wedding season and also packing for the following 2 months I spent in Paris, while the last 2 months of the year have been all about re-settling into my Bucharest life, catching up with everyone and holidays hype. So here I am on the New-Year’s-Eve Eve doing a recap of my latest manicures.
If you’ve been following me for a while, you know that I’ve developed a passion for unique manicures and that I have a nail artist who supports my madness. If you don’t, you can read the story here. Our romance is still ongoing, though I haven’t really had time to post my latest designs because, well, I haven’t really had time to post anything else either. I mostly blame it on binge-watching Twin Peaks, but I also had some personal matters to take care of as well, so I haven’t procrastinated as much as you think.
I think I’m now at my fifth manicure since the last one I posted, but I will walk you only through 4, because my latest manicure is so special that I want to dedicate an entire post to it. You can see all my 4 manicures after the jump! (click on read more)Read More »

But I’m talking about that feeling you get when you know for sure the season has changed, when you can smell spring in the air: the days are longer, you are more energetic and optimistic and ready for new and exciting stuff. That’s how I feel – today, more than ever. Because today is the little holiday we call Mărțisor, on which men give women brooches and trinkets with a red and white string attached – you can see below just what I mean – and the women have to wear these trinkets, or at least the string, throughout the entire month of March. It’s a very old tradition and it signifies the beginning of this beautiful season we call spring.Read More »
If you know me you also know I’m not the most feminine girl. But I just couldn’t resist when I found this cute-cute-cute Valentine’s Day manicure on Lauren Conrad’s blog! Luckily, I had my latest appointment to get my nails done a week before Valentine’s, so I am more than ready for this holiday (which we don’t even officially celebrate in Romania, but who cares?) – I may not own any red or pink shirts, but look at my lovely, sweet nails! I gotta tell you, it’s my favorite manicure yet!
