What I’ve been up to lately

Hi guys! I know it’s been a long while, but it took me some time to start feeling like myself again. The Covid-19 outbreak and social distancing period really had an impact on my mental health (but thank God for my physical health during this time!).

While things haven’t changed much for me in terms of work – working from home but (thankfully) still working full time – they changed a lot socially. I really felt the distancing part: I was very much missing my friends and family, missing my very long walks and my weekends exploring the city. I also miss wearing my “presentable human” clothes and looking like a woman, instead of a troll 90% of the time (my fiancé is a lucky man huh?! 😅).

Happy nails – 2019 edition – part 1

Here we are, nearing the end of the year (how did time fly by so fast?!) and I thought I’d share with you some of the incredible nail designs I’ve had this year. These wouldn’t have been possible if not for the infinite inspiration that can be found on Instagram and Pinterest, but especially not without my very talented nail artist who always indulges me and who has been supporting (but more tolerating I guess 😄) my addiction to flowery designs for more than 2 years now.

My sister describes my style as “mom-like” and that’s because I like to be comfortable – I rarely wear heels, (while she has a closet-full of high-heels that she can’t loan to anyone, not even her sister, because she has tiny feet and wears 35!) I don’t own a lot of dresses and I don’t really like to show a lot of cleavage. Of course, sometimes these things do happen, but it’s definitely not the norm. However, unlike my sister, I think my style is rather child-like than mom-like. I wear a lot of sneakers, I own a lot of pullovers and don’t own nearly enough grown-up clothing (i.e. office attire).
