The Other Book

This story is going to make me seem really ignorant, but I promise you, I’m not. I’m just stupid šŸ™‚ šŸ˜‰ Now that we clarified this I can go on knowing that you will find this funny and not outrageous.

Okay, so, last week I finished Landline, my last Rainbow Rowell book – I know, sadface :(. And after such a cutesy book I was ready for a new mystery. So after careful research I decided that the next book on my list was The Girl Before, by J.P. Delaney. I’d read the plot and it seemed interesting enough. All good and well. Charming chick-lit

wp-1487799970543.pngHi, my name is Andreea and I like cutesy chick-lit. You can go ahead and sue me! It’s hard to admit that you like chick-flicks or chick-lit and people will judge you for it – probably because the storiesĀ seem easy and predictable or because most of them are cheesy, so maybe it makes it seem like you are a bit superficial or something. I don’t know what it is, but I do know that I’m a girl and by default we’re suckers for romantic stories.Ā So this being my little piece of the internet I can finallyĀ admit it: I liiiike chick-lit. It’s my own little escape from the real world and from my real life filled with my job, housework and all the other responsibilities that come with being an adult. If life is so hard and overwhelming sometimes, why shouldn’t we have something to makes us feel all fluffy and pink on the inside again? So in between my favorite genres of dystopias and mystery I occasionally read a chick-lit novel and it feels so good! šŸ˜€
