You probably know already – if you don’t, you can always read about it here – that I went through some crazy shit with my hair this year – how it all started from some highlights and how I ended up being more blonde than I could have ever even imagined – and not in the good sense!
Aaaanyway, I’ve told you the story of my hair, but told you almost nothing about the hair dye, which was really stupid from my part, because after I bought it I searched online for an entire evening to find something out about it and decide if I should use it or not. I found some stuff from years ago, but it wasn’t that much. However, I decided Fuck it! I can’t look worse than I already do! – AND I DIDN’T!! (At least that’s what I think)
My thoughts on the Movie Colors violet hair dye from BES below.Read More »
If you’ve been following me for a while, you know that I’ve developed a passion for unique manicures and that I have a nail artist who supports my madness. If you don’t, you can read the story here. Our romance is still ongoing, though I haven’t really had time to post my latest designs because, well, I haven’t really had time to post anything else either. I mostly blame it on binge-watching Twin Peaks, but I also had some personal matters to take care of as well, so I haven’t procrastinated as much as you think.
I think I’m now at my fifth manicure since the last one I posted, but I will walk you only through 4, because my latest manicure is so special that I want to dedicate an entire post to it. You can see all my 4 manicures after the jump! (click on read more)Read More »
You’d be surprised to know how few internationally known brands can be found in Romania. Just to give you an example of what I mean, I think that Eos lip balms were launched last year, while Essie nail polish is still not available here. Sometimes this is frustrating, but we survived so long without them, it’s not really that much of an issue. But when you find one of these products on the Romanian market, you know it’s time to pounce.
Let me start off by saying that making my hair lighter was not an itch I should’ve scratched. I’ve always had dark brown hair and when I dyed it in the past it was always a shade darker or a dark plum or something like that. And I know that dark hair makes you seem older or whatever, but I was so comfortable with that color – it just felt right to me. It was my Snow-White-ey look: dark hair, fair skin, red lips – good to go. (My sister would call this look “the Morticia Addams”, but I was cool with that as well. I love black, I love the Addams family and Morticia may have looked like a vampire, but she was a classy lady. But I don’t wear eye make-up like she does and my eyebrows are not that arched. So my sister is wrong, ha!). But anyway. I felt the need for a change this year and what I got is so far off from what I actually wanted to look like, it’s scary.
